Why is Wednesday the best day to list your home? Essentially, because you are leveraging the timing of the listing websites. In order to sell your house for the most money, you want as much traffic as possible, in the shortest timeframe. If you use this strategy, you have the greatest chance of multiple offers on the property, which results in the best chance to sell at or over list price.

When you list on Wednesday, most people are notified of the listing on Thursday morning. This gives buyers 2 days to set up showings for the weekend, and you’ll have the best possible first weekend you can have. Some buyers will view the property on Thursday or Friday. If an eager buyer presents an offer on Friday, you can ask them to wait until Sunday for a response, so that you have time to see if any other buyers are interested. (If a buyer brought you an offer on Tuesday, it wouldn’t be reasonable to ask them to wait almost a week for a response.)

Listing on Wednesday allows the most buyers to view your house on the first weekend, with a reasonable amount of time to view multiple offers.
