The Travis Country neighborhood in Texas is a community that offers a true abundance of natural beauty. Located near Austin's Barton Creek Greenbelt, Travis Country is nestled in the southwest area of Austin, where there are still plenty of green spaces. In fact, the Travis Country community has its own pond stocked with fish, turtles, and ducks. Plus, Travis Country is also home to a wildflower center, where visitors can admire many animals and plants, including the very rare plateau Gerardia. The monarch butterfly and the Rufous hummingbird also put in appearances at the wildflower center. After a day at work, Travis Country residents can return home to an oasis in the city.

The little pocket of Texas Hill Country that exists in Travis Country is carefully preserved and nurtured. The Blue Valley Recreation Area is carefully maintained to offer a great hiking trail as well as protected green spaces. The streets of the community itself are lined with greenery and are kept clean and quiet. If you want a natural retreat right in the city, Travis Country may be right for you.

Plus, since Travis Country is in southwestern Austin, right on the city's border, the community provides lots of access to nearby recreation, including access to nearby green spots and parks outside the city. Pedernales Falls offers gorgeous views and is only about an hour's drive away. Travis Country has long been considered one of the best maintained Austin communities. Situated conveniently north of Southwest Parkway and west of MoPac, Travis Country offers very short commutes to nearby employers as well as excellent access to all the amenities that Austin has to offer. Barton Creek Square Mall and the Brodie Lane shopping area are both only ten minutes away. All that Austin's downtown has to offer is only 15 minutes away by car.
