Austin, Texas, has many neighborhoods & communities, but none are quite like Milwood. Milwood has been carefully developed and planned in order to provide a high quality living, natural beauty, and the height of modern convenience.

Here, manicured lawns, beautiful homes, clean sidewalks, plenty of green trees, and tons of amenities are part of everyday life. As a result, people who move here tend to stay here. Although there are some homes for sale, and a few for lease, this is a highly desirable neighborhood and one that house hunters like to keep an eye on.

Milwood offers easy access to the rest of Austin, Texas. At the same time, this gorgeous neighborhood almost seems to be a far more remote, almost rural place. Plenty of green spaces and gorgeous properties are all part and parcel of living here. No wonder that so many house hunters look at Milwood first.

Surrounded by Parmer Lane to the north, Duval to the South, and East Amherst and the Railroad tracks to the West, Milwood is just a stone's throw from RM 620, Loop 1, and Interstate 35. This means that Milwood homeowners never have to worry about a lengthy commute or inconvenient location. All the desirable shopping, dining, employment, and opportunities of Austin are just a short drive away.

Many homeowners, and especially first-time homebuyers, adore Milwood. It's no wonder. This community, made up mostly of modern one-story houses on small, perfectly maintained grassy lots, is moderately priced in most market conditions. Homes are well maintained and many are in move-in condition. Modestly sized homes offer plenty of room to move in without a huge price tag. Plus, the neighborhood has plenty of mature trees in the area, creating an area perfect for nighttime strolls and relaxation. The community seems far more luxurious than the home price tags suggest, and that simply means value for home buyers.

The nearby Balcones Park and Pool is perfect for local residents who want to take a quick swim, relax with a book, have a picnic, or enjoy game of Frisbee. The Milwood Branch Austin Public Library is also always busy here, as homeowners of all ages drop by to read a book, chat with neighbors, or enjoy Internet access.

The active Milwood Neighborhood Association is a great way for new neighbors to get involved in the stable community.
