The development of Falconhead began in 2003, which means all of the homes are quite new and in good shape. Although the community was only recently developed, the history of the area is quite extensive. In fact, the neighborhood of Bee Cave has been part of the area for more than one hundred years. The citizens of the community had long fought against the regulations of city government and, in the 1980s, they banded together the Village of Bee Cave in order to prevent annexation with the city of Austin. When the Falconhead golf course was built in 2003, however, the Falconhead community was also formed.

Things to Do in Falconhead

The Falconhead golf course, which was the first of the PGA Signature Series golf courses to be built, is one of the biggest attractions within the Falconhead community. The course features a pro shop, a clubhouse and a driving range. In addition to the golf course, Falconhead also has numerous dining and shopping opportunities available to its residents and is only minutes away from the city of Austin.

The Falconhead Economy

Due to its close proximity to Austin, residents of Falcohnead can easily take advantage of the numerous employment opportunities the city has to offer. As such, the median income of Falconhead residents is $128,501. Nonetheless, many of the homes in Falconhead are reasonably priced, with the median price being $440,230. Higher priced homes are available in the area, however, with prices ranging from $300,000 to more than $1 million.
