Although Pemberton Heights was originally developed in the 1920s through the early 1940s, it boasts some of the most upscale houses in Texas. In fact, Town and Country magazine selected Pemberton Heights as one of the "25 Platinum Addresses in the US", and it is easy to see why! 

The lovely homes and well-manicured lawns in Pemberton Heights have attracted numerous successful politicians, artists and businessmen and has managed to maintain its historical significance while still being conveniently located near central Austin as well as to Utah. In fact, the Pemberton Castle, which resembles a castle and even contains round rooms and a turret, can still be seen in the neighborhood. This isn't the only interesting or historical building to be found in the area. In fact, Pemberton Heights is filled with historic homes that add interest and charm to the neighborhood.

The neighborhood association is quite active at Pemberton Heights and is open to all residents. Some of the association's primary goals are to preserve trees in the neighborhood as well as to retain its historic character.
