Highland Hills is a fantastic neighborhood located just west of Mopac and between 2222 & Far West in MLS Area 1A. Highland Hills location in Austin couldn't get any better - a 5 minute drive to Lake Austin, 15 minutes to Lake Travis, 5 minutes to downtown, and 5 minutes to the Arboretum. The neighborhood itself is very hilly & full of trees, and the streets curve throughout the neighborhood. Many of the homes have fantastic views of nearby Cat Mountain & the hill country topography. At night, families of deer share Highland Hills as home.

Highland Hills real estate is primarily single-family residences, but there are also quite a few duplexes scattered throughout. Due to the property values increase, many of the duplexes are undergoing condo conversions & are being sold as attached single-family homes. Highland Hills was built in the 50's, 60's, & 70's, with a very small number of newer construction homes built on remaining lots in the 90's. The lot sizes are large, even for their time, and the homes are quite large for the time period they were built.
