Sorry for such a long delay in writting back, I’ve been out of town. I do think your right about the gov. incentives. As prices start to climb people looking to buy investments should incease as well. But once again thanks for the great post.

Great information Scott. Likewise, we are launching a new Time Limit bidding product on our website this year for REO Homes for sale at GoHoming in order to ingest most of this supply. I agree that there will be great deals on REO properties over the next several years.

Thanks for your comment Jacci. Although much of the absorption is due to government incentives, I still believe that once the Homebuyer Tax Credit expires, we will continue to see absorption due to the historically low prices and buyer mentality that they may miss the bottom of the market.

Thanks for the article Scott. Your right many people do not understand how important the absorbtion rate is. I’m glad to see it down and your right, Now is a great time to buy!
