Our trash company has been talking about doing the same thing for about six months. We have three little tiny containers for recycle material. I finally broke down and bought another trash can specifically for recycle because there is just so much stuff that can be recycled.

Jessica, we have the same thing going on here also. We actully got a letter the other day saying we put the wrong stuff in the Rec bin. If we do it again we have to go to garbage jail and pay a fine

My neighborhood has the same type of ins, but we were forced to use them. The city said that they would no longer pick up our garbage or recycling unless it was in approved containers, like those, that we have to pay a monthly fee for in addition to the money we already spend on garbage and recycling service.

So due to the circumstances, we weren’t to happy about our new bins.

Nice Eric, we have to provide our own garbage and recycle cans. To tell the truth, recycling and stuff does not get me all excited, but I do it.

Too funny! I didn’t think about that as a benefit. I told my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago that our neighbors must think we’re running a frat house.

I love it also that the city will accept more things now including junk mail. I think there is enough of that to print phone books for everyone on the planet.

Here in Tampa we still use the bins. I’d love to have the cans, that way all my neighbors wouldn’t see how much beer and wine we drink during the week.

Recycling bins are a good thing – they help the street clutter-free and maintain a clean environment. In our place recycle bins are color-coded so people will know what goes into what bin.

This was brilliant by the City of Austin. While trash can begin to smell, recycleable items can easily wait to be picked up. I think that this is very efficient. I am excited about this too! Nope, you’re not a dork.

We have the same recycle cans in Bend Oregon. My wife and I fill it up in 2 weeks. It’s great for us and the environment. We downsized our trash can after this new recycle bin was delivered.
