Austin #1 in Forbes’ List of Boomtowns

Shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Austin topped another Forbes list. I have to admit that we definitely notice Austin’s “boominess” – the jobs market is great, the real estate market is healthy, and people are moving here in droves.

Sounds like good news for your market. I’ve had a few friends move to Austin. Sounds like a great place with a great job market. While I think Austin will probably remain at or near the top of this list, I wonder about some of the other top 10.

It will be interesting to come back to reports like these in 5 years, and see how accurate they were. Bend has been in several top 10 lists as well for “best housing markets”.

Congratulations on another top award for Austin! While Madison is often compared to Austin, the reality is that Austin is a lot bigger than Madison and therefore no doubt has a tremendous amount more to often in many ways. How is the employment situation in Austin? Madison just won the top award for the lowest average unemployment rate in the country for the 21st century!

Travis County is at 6.6% unemployment right now.

This is indeed a good news!I am just hoping Park City will follow Austin’s progress when it comes to job market and business. Congratulations again to the award.

Congratulations Austin! I think a few people from DC should visit you and see how it is supposed to be done.
