For residents of Meridian, there are numerous amenities to enjoy. These include a neighborhood swim center, a pavilion and a play area. The Circle C Golf Course is also located near to Meridian. In addition, the neighborhood is located near to the LBJ Wildflower Center and the Veloway while also offering easy access to MOPAC and IH-35.

In addition to the numerous recreational activity available to those living in Meridian, the neighborhood is also located a mere minutes away from the Barton Creek Square Mall. Other nearby shopping opportunities includes Target Greatland, Brodie Oaks, Randall’s and HEB and Sunset Valley Marketplace. Numerous dining opportunities are also easily available to residents of Meridian.

Shopping and dining opportunities are not the only attractions located near to Meridian. In fact, Meridian is a great place to live for those that work for companies such as AMD and Freescale, as well as for those that are employed within the city of Austin.

Children living in Meridian attend the Austin Independent School District. Those who are elementary-aged attend Clayton Elementary, while those who are older attend Bailey Middle School. High School aged students, on the other hand, attend Bowie High School. It should be noted, however, that a new elementary school is slated to begin construction in Meridian in 2009.
