Rosedale

Despite its start as a farm and dairy land in the 1860s, the Rosedale neighborhood has blossomed into a neighborhood that is filled with modern amenities while still maintaining its charm. Located in the northern portion of Central Austin, Rosedale is located conveniently near to all that Austin has to offer. At the same time, Rosedale’s residents don’t need to leave the neighborhood in order to enjoy many of the same conveniences of the city.

With over 1200 homes in the area, Rosedale has managed to maintain a neighborhood feel while still incorporating many businesses into the area within easy walking distance. In addition, a variety of medical services are located close by, including Seton Hospital. Recreational opportunities also abound in the Rosedale area. Ramsey Park, for example, is located in the heart of the neighborhood. Here, residents can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or can play a few games of tennis at the tennis courts. Picnic areas and playgrounds are also found at the park.

One of Rosedale’s unique features is the fact that the majority of the homes in the area were built in the 1930s and 1940s, which only adds to the charm of the neighborhood. At the same time, the new construction and renovation projects taking place throughout the neighborhood have helped create a renewed energy and has made Rosedale the ideal location for families as well as for single professionals.
