Scheffield Northwest District Park is a huge public park with a pool, playground, picnic/BBQ areas and a baseball diamond. And if you’re hard-up for ideas, the Allandale Reporter website keeps you up to date on the latest news clippings and neighborhood goings-on.

All in all, this area is the kind of place anyway would enjoy. It has all the flavor of any other eccentric Austin neighborhood without the unfortunate foibles of a city in the midst of overpopulation.
